The City of Watertown has announced on social media today the appointment of Ian Meriwether-Chalfant as the new Airport Manager for Watertown Regional Airport. Meriwether-Chalfant previously held roles at Rapid City Regional Airport and Portland International Jetport.
A University of North Dakota graduate, Meriwether-Chalfant holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Airport Management.
In his new role, Meriwether-Chalfant will oversee airport operations, manage staff, and work closely with the community to enhance the airport’s facilities and services. His enthusiasm for aviation and commitment to the industry are expected to contribute to the airport’s continued growth and success.
“We are excited to welcome Ian Meriwether-Chalfant to the Watertown team,” said Heath VonEye, Assistant City Manager and Public Works Director. “His qualifications and experience make him an ideal candidate to lead the Watertown Regional Airport.”
Meriwether-Chalfant expressed excitement about joining the Watertown community and contributing to the airport’s success. “I am eager to leverage my skills and knowledge to enhance the airport’s operations and serve the community,” he said.
